Our story
Delicacy Salon & Spa is a family-run beauty salon in Lombard, Illinois, founded in 2002 by cosmetologist and esthetician Ghazala Syed. We're known for eyebrow threading and trusted for waxing, facials and hair.
Ghazala, a young mother of five, begins teaching beauty classes from her home. Her warmth and skill travel by word of mouth, and within a few years more than a hundred students are attending.
She moves to the United States, leaving that success behind to start over — and earns her American cosmetology and esthetician licenses.
On June 1, 2002, we opened the doors of Delicacy Salon & Spa in Lombard. We chose to establish a single, family-run location. This was a deliberate decision to ensure that every client who walks through our doors receives our full attention and consistent care. From our first day, we focused on high-quality beauty services. We built our reputation on our signature eyebrow threading, precise hair styling, and professional skin care. Staying in one location helps us maintain our high standards and connect personally with you.

The people
Owner & Founder
Ghazala has spent more than thirty years in the beauty business. She began as a young mother of five in Pakistan, teaching beauty classes from her home to a few young women — and soon to more than a hundred. After moving to the United States in 1998 she started over, earned her American cosmetology and esthetician licenses, and opened Delicacy in June 2002. She still takes pride in delivering top-quality work to every client.
Manager
Zahra manages our daily operations to keep the salon running smoothly. She coordinates our scheduling, supports our stylists and estheticians, and maintains the high standards of cleanliness and organization you expect from us.
She is your main point of contact for bookings and inquiries. From your first phone call to your final check-out, Zahra focuses on making your time with us easy and comfortable.
